I contributed to many community-based projects in Qatar that used technology for education and building knowledge and awareness for different individuals and communities, such as:
-
Teaching literacy to deaf and hard-of-hearing students through enriched subtitling.
-
Creating inclusive cinema screenings at Ajyal Festival Film (a film festival designed to empower young people in the Middle East region), where films were subtitled and audio described for audiences with hearing and visual impairments.
-
Working with the education programs in several museums to provide visually impaired visitors with an inclusive learning experience (e.g., tactile sessions and live audio descriptions of selected paintings).
-
Assessing museums' accessibility, including the accessibility to print and digital materials (e.g., brochures, object labels, films).
